With the owner present this can be and disruptive to to groom the dog safely.

At least every 6 weeks this is to maintain a proper and manageable coat AND PREVENT MATTING this is recommended for Poodles, Bichons, Shih Tzus, and Terrier breeds shedding breeds should be brushed and combed thoroughly at home and appointments should be every 8 weeks.

5. How long does the grooming take?

The typical stay at the shop is 2 to 3 hours for small to medium sized dogs. 3-4 hours for larger breeds with heavier under coats, and for pet’s receiving hand scissoring or de-matting. At about the age of 4 months (16 weeks) The purpose of this initial visit is to familiarize the puppy with the process,This visit consists of a bath, blow dry, nail trim and a little trim around the face and check their anal glands.

If you must cancel please try to give us at least a 24 hours notice. We work on an appointment basis this reduce the lost of business for the day, understandably unforeseen circumstances do occur. No Shows will be monitored. After 3 “No Shows” you will be required to pay for your grooming appointment in full prior to your next appointment.

8. Why won’t you brush him out?

He's matted but I don’t want him shaved?the coat is already damaged and will not brush out to a superior grooming style. We will do our best to save as much of the coat as possible by removing the matting with a deep conditioner and continue on with the groom and cut. Only if the dog has a mat or two that is a different story will we brush him out.

9.Is my pet too old to be groomed?

Probably not, but older pets are one of the harder groups to work with. We may recommend that the cut remain simple and short so that the grooming process is as short as possible. Doing this will also insure that your older dog will not need grooming as often, which will surely make your pet happier!

10.Does my dog need to be fully vaccinated?

Yes! Please bring a copy, that we may keep, of your pets’ vaccination records with you on your first visit. It is in the best interest for your dog, as well as all the other dogs that come to the shop.
